Click the Customize Avatar Button on the center column of the MEMBER HOME PAGE.
There are several different avatar types to choose from.
Details for each type are discussed in later sections.
Before customizing your avatar, there is one very important action to learn:

WHY MUST BROWSER CACHE BE CLEARED

Web Browsers are lazy. They only like to download files once.
That means if a file is replaced but bears the same name, it will call the file from your browser cache instead of downloading a fresh copy from the server.
WHEN YOU CHANGE YOUR AVATAR'S CLOTHES - you are, in fact, replacing one texture file with another, and keeping the same filename.
This means if you change your clothing... you may not see the change on your screen until you clear your browser cache and reload the page.

HOW DO I CLEAR MY BROWSER CACHE?

The process is slightly different for each web browser, so a quick web search will give you the answer you seek if you use a different browser.
For Google Chrome: CNTL+SHIFT+DEL
Clear ONLY the Files and Images options. Clearing cookies will log you out. Clearing passwords always results in disaster. LOOK AT THE OPTIONS CAREFULLY.
We recommend getting dressed and clearing your cache before entering a region.
We recommend clearing your cache before logging into 3DWW to make sure you see everyone else's clothing changes too. Although, keep in mind, clearing your cache will require you to download region assets too.
Zkin - Change the Zendzi Skin Texture
Zirts - Change the Zendzi Shirt
Zants - Change the Zendzi Pants
Animations - Opens an Animation HUD for you to test the avatar animations.
Templates - Opens a separate browser tab with templates if you want to make your own Zendzi clothes.
Switch Type - Change from a Zendzi Avatar to another type.
Look and See - Rotate your avatar to see what you look like from all sides.
** Don't forget to clear your cache and reload your browser page after making customization choices.
Avatars - Choose a body gender and hairstyle.
Skin EV01 - Change your avatar skin (feminine/masculine)
Shirts, Pants, Hair, Eyes, Shoes, Nails - change the color or texture.
Animations - test the animations with your chosen avatar.
Templates - Opens a new browser tab with templates to create new skins/clothes/etc., for the EV01 Avatars.
Switch Type - Change your chosen avatar type.
Look and See - See your avatar from every side.
Most of the options are easy one click changes, followed by a clearing of your browser cache. EV01 Skin is the exception.
For EV01 Type Skins you must change three textures at once. The FACE, the UPPERBODY and the LOWERBODY. To make the skins match, choose options with the SAME NAME. For example, in this graphic, the matching name is "Marc."

CHOOSING the EV02 AVATAR

When you switch to an EV02 Avatar, you may receive this message.
To continue - click either the pink or blue avatar button and choose an avatar. Sample screenshot below:
Depending on the clothing style chosen, your options menu will change. Click the buttons to see choices.
UNLIKE the EV01 Avatars, EV02 Avatars only need one click to change the skin option. Pink button for feminine skins, blue button for masculine. The skin images relate to skin tone and will be fitted to whichever size avatar is chosen:

LowPoly Avatars are recommended for older computers or slow connections. LowPoly Avatars do not have any animations and cannot be customized.
Upon switching to the LowPoly Avatar Type you will see this message:
To continue, click the AVATARS button and pick an Avatar.
WYSIWYG Avatars are what you see is what you get. There are no customization options available. These are added as special characters are needed. Need a special avatar created? Contact customer service with your request.
Be sure to test your animations if they are important to you. Not all WYSIWYG Avatars have full Animation HUDS.
If you haven't chosen an avatar, you will see this message:
Click the AVATARS button to choose an avatar.
While 3DWW has a large library of clothing options, many members prefer to upload clothing of their own.
Each customizable avatar has a template menu:
Templates will open in a separate browser tab. Right-Click and save the template to your computer. Use your favorite graphics program to customize your piece of clothing.
