New feature: Added May 2021
**Instructions Coming Soon**
Adding a custom SKY OBJECT adds a sphere around your region and applies a 360 Degree texture to it, providing an environment in every direction.
The texture library has a SKY filter to help you find a texture that meets your needs.
The video below shows how to upload textures and use the texture library in the building process. To upload a new sky, you would choose the SKY category during the upload process.
Please make sure your sky images are 360 Panoramic Views and Seamless for best results. Most of the time we recommend SMALLER images for upload. For a detailed sky, however, we recommend larger pixel sizes (i.e. 1024x1024).
As of 4/5/23, this website is a great resource.
• https://skybox.blockadelabs.com/
You can enter a description and choose a filter category and it creates a skybox within minutes. Download it and save the texture to your system. See video below about uploading to 3DWebworldz ('Add New Texture') and then assign it to your sky prim.
===========================
FAQ: Can I use any texture or image on the sky? Or must it be from the SKY filter of the texture library?
Answer: You CAN use any texture, but not recommended.
The sky filtered textures are 360 Seamless textures to create a realistic environment. However, keep in mind that anyone can upload images to the texture library. Therefore the quality of some will be better than others.

WHAT IS A MESH OBJECT?
=================================
Mesh is a name given to 3D objects created using softwares such as Blender or 3DMaxx.
Just about anything can be created with mesh. You can learn how to build your own (we offer classes!), but you don't have to. We have lots of mesh available for free in our commons library. Learn about the libraries in the next section.
In this image, the terrain, the balloons, popcorn machine, bench, figure eating popcorn, etc., are all mesh objects.

ADD a MESH OBJECT to YOUR REGION
=================================
=================================
THE MESH LIBRARY
=================================
3DWebWorldz offers builders a free library of objects they can simply click and add to their region builds. (Credit to object builders found under Top Toolbar: Region | Credits)
In the video above you saw the Mesh Library accessed during the building process. You can also access it to browse through the catalog or to upload new items of your choosing.
=================================
CREATING YOUR OWN 3D MESH OBJECTS
=================================
You can use any 3D Modelling software program that allows you to export as a GLTF.
We recommend Blender, an open source and free download program. https://Blender.org.
Screenshot of Blender - this example will be used below.
Private Tutoring and Classes are available. Contact Evie_Marie inworld or via Discord.
=================================
3D MESH OBJECT RESOURCES
=================================
You can also find and import objects found in public libraries such as:
https://sketchfab.com/feed ** recommended
New libraries seem to pop up every single day. Do a search if the two listed above doesn't suit your needs.
=================================
ADD NEW OBJECTS to MESH LIBRARY
=================================
a) Highlight the files and textures (subfolders if they exist).
IMPORTANT: You should be able to SEE your .gltf file -- >
in this case the file = scene.gltf
(remember that filename, we need it later)
b) Right click -> SEND TO / Compressed (zipped) folder
Save yourself time and frustration by checking your model in a GLTF Viewer before importing. We recommend this viewer:
https://gltf-viewer.donmccurdy.com/
Literally drag and drop your zipped file into the viewer window.
If it looks good there, it should successfully import into 3DWebWorldz.com.
1) Open building tools and navigate to the editing tools panel.
2) The edit tools panel is separated into three sections: Add / Edit / Upload. Find the Upload section.
3) Click the Upload Mesh button and fill out the form.
A prim is a geometric shape object you can use to build. A texture is the image wrapped around that prim.
In this video, WATCH as piles of standard geometric shapes turn into a car.
1) Open the Building Tools Panel via:
2) Click the button provided near the top of the panel.
3) Find the Library Toolbar across the top and click the button.
The texture library, on its own, is just for browsing and viewing. USING a texture is done in conjunction with the building tools because textures are placed on geometric prims shapes. (See above)
FIND A TEXTURE by clicking a FILTER CATEGORY BUTTON or using the KEYWORD SEARCH TOOL.
Something to Note: The RED NUMBER in the top left corner of each image is called the Texture EasyID Number.
The video below shows how to upload textures and use the texture library in the building process. For more information, please review 3DWW_1001 : Building Process.
Scroll down for written instructions on uploading a new texture.
1) Open the Building Tools via Button or Top Toolbar (Region | Building Tools)
2) Click the EDIT TOOLS button provided near the top of the panel.
3) Scroll down to the section labeled Upload and Add to Libraries
4) Click the Textures Button.
5) Complete this form.
6. Upon submit you will get a File Successfully Uploaded message at the top. Add another texture or click the Back to Edit Tools button to continue.
For convenience, you can now also access the texture uploader from the Texture Library.
Below is an example of a classroom template on the left and an art gallery template on the right. You can place templates like these on your region with just a few clicks. After which, you can edit the individual pieces as needed. (Move the desks around, change the canvas sizes, etc).
We will learn how to use TEMPLATES together. For now, just understand that LINKED SET TEMPLATES are available. You don't have to build regions from scratch if you don't want to.
Floating text is just what is sounds like - text that can be placed anywhere, even float in the air.
Floating text can be very helpful if you need to share information with region visitors.
** this particular sign board is made out of MESH. Although it could have easily been made out of prims.
A SPRITE is a flat two-dimensional image texture on a plane. It mimicks being three-dimensional by rotating to face the user's camera.
Sprites are an easy way to include a complicated object on you region, while using very little browser resources. In the video below, the pink hibiscus tree is a sprite.

The SlideShow Prim allows you to present images on a presentation board - just like a real world slideshow. Easily export from software like PowerPoint and load into the 3DWW SlideShow Controller. You can create multiple slideshows and store them.
***NOTE: You can also live stream your slideshow directly from your computer onto a LiveStream prim if that suits your needs more efficiently.
TOP TOOLBAR: Region | Slideshow Creator
The result is this screen:
Fill out the form and click submit.
• Edit Entry Button: Edit the information you entered in the green area.
• Delete Button: Delete your entire slideshow presentation (careful!)
• Active / Inactive Button: Only one presentation can be active at a time. Whichever presentation is set to "ACTIVE" is the one that will load into the controller.
• Manage Presentation Button: Upload your slides, add slide notes and arrange their order. This button is specific for each presentation you create.
A. Presentation Information. Click the Return to Class List to return to the list of all of your created presentations.
B. Upload your presentation images (See green area on above image). You can drag and drop images onto the CHOOSE FILE button, or click the CHOOSE FILE button to locate your images. We recommend having your slide images already prepared and organized in their own folder.
C. Your Slideshow Images (In order with notes).
This section is where you arrange your slides into the order you prefer, although your controller does allow you to move freely between the images placed in this section.
Uploaded images will be dumped into Section D. below. Order your images to move them to Section C.
• Add notes to yourself - they will be visible on the slide controller.
• Change the ORDER to zero if you wish to move the image back to your library in Section D.
D. Your Slideshow Library
This is where your uploaded images are dumped. They will not be available via your slideshow controller until you add them using the options to order them (and place them into Section C. above).
• To add the image to your controller, assign an order number and click update.
• To remove the image from your slideshow click the Delete Image button.
TOP TOOLBAR: Build Tools | Manage Region Button | Region Presentation System Button
This controller operates both the slideshow presentation prim and the chalkboard presentation prim.
• Slideshow Presentation Pulldown - "Current: No"
Change this to YES to add the prim to your region. We recommend leaving this set to NO until you are ready to actively use it.
• Location, Rotation, Scale - properly set your slideshow prim.
• Presentation Controller (Pulldown Menu).
Only one person can operate the controller at a time. You can assign any registered member to share their prepared slideshows.
The person assigned (by the region owner) to operate the slideshow, may activate the controller from the pulldown menu. (Top Toolbar: Region | Slideshow Controller)
